The background

Implementing an ERP system is not just about making sure the system is in place. The biggest challenge is to make sure the system works in the business and markets the company operates in with laws and regulations. Implema came in to support an international retail company in their implementation of Greenfield SAP S/4 HANA Cloud. The company needed to improve its logistics and finance processes but realized mid-project that there were gaps in the finance part of the project that risked delaying the launch.

Mission

Implema came in with broad financial expertise and did a Sanity-check to verify that basic financial structures were now in place and working and set up processes for efficient work structures. With the right structures and processes in place, migration from the old system was quick and easy.

The results

Thanks to Implema's efforts, the company was able to launch the implementation on time and the company now has an S/4 HANA implementation with significant improvements leading to cost efficiencies in a highly competitive retail and e-commerce market. Implema continues to play a key role in continuously improving the solution, minimizing manual work and improving efficiency in both the finance and logistics areas.
