Successful SAP HANA migration for global telecom company
The background
A global Swedish telecom company needed help managing a large SAP HANA migration project and trusted Implema Business Solution to make it happen. The two-year project involved delivering a full migration from systems on Oracle database to SAP HANA In-Memory database for 12 large SAP installations at the customer. The HANA project covered all aspects of a migration project, from proof of concept to actual migration over an intense weekend when the project had 48 hours to get everything in place.
The mission
Impelmas' contribution to the project was to lead the work forward in the project manager role according to agreed toll-gates, keep good communication with relevant stakeholders from the IT and business side, and monitor and follow up with the external supplier. The project was successful and the customer now has a fast database platform that gives them great future opportunities.
